Paul Robertson, AO

Paul Robertson, AO is the Chair of Goodstart Early Learning, Chair of Tonic Health Media, and Chair of Kinela. He is Founder and Director of Financial Markets Foundation for Children, and is also Director of Dementia Australia, Telco Together Foundation, Grace Papers and Sydney Theatre Company Foundation.

Paul has extensive experience in banking including 27 years at Macquarie Bank and Hill Samuel where he was an Executive Director, Global Treasurer and Integrity Officer of the Bank. He was also a Director and CEO of Macquarie Risk Advisory Services. Paul has served on a number of other commercial boards thorughout his career.

In 2018, Paul was appointed Officer of the Order of Australia for his contribution to the community through ethical leadership and management of, and philanthropic contributions to, health, social enterprise, research, education and arts organisations.

Adam Pozniak is the Chief Executive Officer of Parc Capital, a boutique business advisory and investment firm specialising in mid-sized private companies. He brings considerable entrepreneurial acumen, business strategy skills, commercial experience and hands-on advisory and investment experience to private, mid-sized companies.

He has invested in, advised and successfully exited a number of businesses including completing multiple merger and acquisition transactions. As CEO and co-owner operator of BlueFire Corporation, Adam successfully led the business for over 13+ years to an eventual trade sale to Dimension Data. Adam is on the Board of Directors and advisor to a number of Parc Capital investee companies including Kinela, as well as Halgan, CustomTec, Comscentre, Merchantwise Group and Life Changing Ventures.

Rishabh Mehrota is a seasoned CEO and operator focused on leading technology-enabled businesses in payroll, benefits and healthcare services. He has 18 years of CEO experience with leading US and international private equity funds, as well as 6 years of strategic consulting experience.

Rishabh is a co-founder of Kinela, and is currently the Executive Chairman. He has co-founded a series of startups over the last two decades, and has acted as CEO, partner, strategic advisor and chairman of a number of organisations including Abilizer, Archer Capital, BOLT solutions, CVC Capital Partners, Pharmacord, Ascender HCM, and most recently, Aionte Staffing Software.

Brooke Keane

Brooke is an experienced business founder, CEO, Advisor and Senior Executive with greater than 20 years extensive experience in the human services & health care industries. She has, for many years, been recognised as a leader in the design and delivery of innovative health care services across a range of markets, most recently the NDIS.

Brooke brings a track record of rapidly and profitability growing allied health organisations including her own which was acquired by Private Equity in 2016. Her focus has been on delivering meaningful and sustainable health outcomes for the end user while simultaneously creating the necessary infrastructure and systems to ensure efficient, quality focused delivery of services.

Brooke, who originally trained as an Occupational Therapist, brings not only crucial allied health expertise and business strategy to the Kinela board but an intimate understanding of the NDIS and Aged Care markets.

Karn Ghosh

Karn Ghosh is the Founder and CEO of Kinela, a leading Australian social enterprise that empowers people living with disability to achieve their health goals.

Karn graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) with first class honours, and was awarded the Dean’s Scholar medal for finishing first in his class. He has maintained close ties with the University since graduating, currently sitting on the Alumni Council and having been given the honour of delivering the formal address to the graduating class of 2016.

Whilst working as a Physiotherapist, he founded SportsMed Studio, a mobile app-development company through which he developed and released Stretch HD – the leading cross-platform stretching app globally.

His early experiences working as a clinician in both in the public and private healthcare systems provided exposure to a patient population that was struggling with the burden of preventable chronic disease, and played a role in forming the central theme of his work – ‘health equity’.

Karn brings his health background, patient-centric worldview and passion for preventative health, to his everyday work. He’s actively involved in the not for profit world, and is a promoter of business as a force for good. In 2018, he was recgonised as a Westpac Social Change Fellow for his contributions to the healthcare industry in Australia.

David Heymann started with Kinela after spending 13 years at Google, growing portfolios of large multi million dollar commercial deals, and strategy and operations, product commercialisation and revenue acceleration teams both in Australia and the US.

He has a wide-reaching general management skill set and over 20 years of experience that spans strategy creation and execution, business development and partnerships, product commercialisation, scaling operations, and developing teams and leaders. He combines a people-centric leadership style with deep analytical rigour to deliver short term impact and long term competitive advantage.

Dave is passionate about empowering diverse teams to rally around shared objectives, creating authentic connections between people and delivering change that lasts.

Nour Nazha

Nour Nazha leads Kinela’s team of passionate allied health professionals in radically changing the way healthcare is delivered. Nour is an experienced strategic planner and effective operator with proven ability to develop forward thinking, coordinated and measurable plans. She has demonstrated experience in strategy, customer experience, marketing, communications, and project management, and is an effective collaborator with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver shared business goals.

Before joining Kinela, Nour spent over 7 years at WW (formerly Weight Watchers) ANZ as a program and nutrition expert, where she was responsible for ensuring the nutritional integrity of all Weight Watchers branded foods, recipes, meal plans and other content both online and offline. She also spent a 6 month secondment in the US as Weight Watchers’ Global Program and ANZ Nutrition Manager.

Nour is a registered nutritionist with a Bachelor Degree in Food Science and Nutrition from UNSW, and is currently completing a Masters in Public Health.

Kurt McFarland

Kurt McFarland is a former investment banker who provides strategic CFO services to high growth companies. He has spent the past several years working in finance and strategy roles within PE and VC-backed companies, and spent a number of years working in Bahrain and Qatar for some of the Middle East’s largest investment banks, including Seera and Qatar First. He worked with Expert360 and Ingham’s before joining Kinela in early 2020.

Kurt enjoys working with businesses that are focused on ‘doing good’ as well as being profitable. In particular, he’s passionate about sustainability and is involved with a number of charitable organisation. He currently sits on the Board of 10×10, which runs innovative crowd-funding events for grass roots charities around the world.

Monika Lobejko

Monika Lobejko has a Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics (1st Class Honours) from the University of Wollongong, and spent a number of years working in various health and nutrition roles, including with the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Fitness First Australia, and at well-known Sydney high school, Loreto Normanhurst.

She began with Kinela as a dietitian before moving into a Chief of Staff role, where she promotes cross-functional collaboration across the team, and rallies our people and teams towards Kinela’s commitments and mission. Monika is still a passionate dietitian, she sees Kinela clinical clients once a week.

Alon Novy

Alon Novy

Alon has co-founded and has led multiple software startups as CTO, both in Sydney and in Silicon Valley.

Alon has architected and led engineering of sophisticated multi-award-winning software products in such diverse areas as productivity, healthcare, cryptocurrency and others.  His software has been used by the likes of CBA, Macquarie Bank and Deloitte, and tens of thousands of individual consumers.

He has received several patents for his software inventions.

Alon has provided strategic advice for many small and mid-sized firms, and he has helped multiple companies secure venture capital funding.

Matthew Roger is a Kinela dietetics client, and has lost 12kgs in the last 12 months working with his dietitian. He has a Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is a Chartered Accountant by profession, with 25 years of corporate experience in accounting and auditing.

Matt meets his neurological and mobility challenges enthusiastically with regular exercise, and is determined to live with the challenges of multiple sclerosis with a positive outlook. He’s a proud MS Peer Support Ambassador, and has lobbied both state and federal governments in regards to improving accessibility for those living with MS. He also provides one-on-one support to others living with MS, and is part of the Australian National University project on MS and Diabetes.

Martha Siede

Martha Siede is a Kinela meal delivery and dietetics client. Martha previously worked as an NDIS Support Coordinator and Plan Manager, and is a qualified Counsellor & Family Therapist, and Life Coach.

Martha lives with cerebral palsy, and is always willing to offer advice and a helping hand when it comes to anything disability or NDIS-related. She authors our “Ask Martha” advice column, published monthly on the Kinela blog.

She’s extremely passionate about improving the NDIS for all participants and their circle of care, and has met with the NDIS CEO, Martin Hoffman, to discuss her ideas and suggested strategies. Martha was largely responsible for putting together the Kinela Advisory Committee, and organises regular meetings and events with the committee to allow them to share their expertise and insights with the wider Kinela team.

Sara Shams

Sara Shams is a pharmacist, and highly values health and wellbeing. She understands that self-care and exercise are essential to good health and well-being — for not only people with disabilities, but for everyone. She has a passion for making a positive impact on healthcare, and is currently studying a Masters of Public Health.

Sara became a bilateral through-knee amputee at a young age as a result of congenital limb difference.

She thoroughly enjoys keeping fit, particularly through regular reformer pilates classes, and is an avid traveller who can’t wait to be back on a plane again as soon as she can. Sara is a proud amputee ambassador, and recently was awarded a Start Grant to achieve her sporting goal of training for and completing a full marathon.

Kieran McManus

Kieran McManus has a degree in Industrial and Product Design from RMIT university, and spent a large portion of his career specialising in printing and packaging. He spent 14 years at Explus Asia Pacific, heading up end to end project management, marketing and new business development, and managing relationships with 40+ clients ranging from SME’s to national corporate and retail chains.

Kieran became a Kinela speech pathology client after suffering a stroke at age 46. Since then, he’s worked hard to be able to get back to living an active and healthy lifestyle, and his next major goal is to rejoin the workforce and resume his career in an area he’s passionate about.

Noella Angel

Noella Angel is a well-known para-equestrian (Para Grade 5 Dressage Rider) who currently has her sights set on competing in the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Saint-Denis, France. She’s also a passionate equestrian riding teacher, playing an important leadership and mentoring role for other young people and upcoming talent in the equestrian space.

Noella was born with vascular malformation affecting her right leg, and sees herself as a person first, and someone who has a disability second.

Noella’s passion is to make the NDIS system better for all participants, and is currently studying design in social media in order to work towards her goal of becoming an online entrepreneur.

Hannah is a key part of the Kinela clinical team, after joining Kinela as a dietitian in October 2017. Hannah has a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons) from the University of Newcastle. As part of her final year of study, Hannah completed a 4 week voluntary placement to Siem Reap, Cambodia. This placement involved working in close collaboration with the Cambodian Diabetes Association, consulting outpatients on basic nutrition for optimal diabetic control as well as updating diabetic resources. She also worked among the rural community, developing and delivering nutrition education classes to primary school children as well as providing home visits to residents of the community.

She regularly volunteers her time as a Dietitian in the QUT student Health Clinic.

Kayla Dodd is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with a Master’s Degree from Deakin University. Prior to joining Kinela, Kayla worked in various private practice roles including facilitating a kid’s cooking program aimed to develop basic cooking skills and providing exposure to a range of nutritious foods and the opportunity to experiment with new food and recipes.  This sparked her interest in working with individuals with fussy eating and  has since completed ongoing education in feeding therapy approaches.

Erica Li joined Kinela as a dietitian in 2020, and has a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney. When she’s not supporting Kinela clients, she also works for Neami National as a Recovery Coach to support consumers achieving their physical health goals. Erica is passionate about building long term relationships with clients and supporting them with building confidence and skills to take control of their own wellbeing. Erica also has special interests working with younger clients to maximise their potential and is a SOS-trained therapist to support picky eaters/problem feeders and their families.
Outside of work, Erica enjoys water sports and adventures activities.

Tiffany takes the time to learn about her client’s preferences and perspectives to tailor individualised advice that is practical, easy to understand and apply. Through setting small achievable goals and health behaviour changes, Tiffany can help her clients sustain healthy lifelong habits. Originally from the Blue Mountains Grace moved to Wollongong to study a Bachelor of Medical and Health Sciences. From this degree she gained in-depth knowledge in medicine, anatomy, physiology, neuroscience and pharmacology. She also learnt the power and importance of nutrition on the body which was her drive to complete the Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of Sydney. She now is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with Dietitians Australia whose passion is to provide evidenced based nutrition advice that is realistic and sustainable.  She has spent the past few month working at hospitals across Sydney and rural NSW gaining experience in a diverse range of medical conditions.

Erene Thong is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD). She has a wealth of knowledge in nutrition and dietetics, having worked for The Canberra Hospital, owned her own company that provided private dietetic services to large corporate companies and government departments, nursing homes and GP Practices all around Canberra and taught Nutrition at The Australian Institute of Fitness. She’s since gone into providing nutrition care for clients under NDIS.

Rachel is a Speech Pathologist who has worked within the disability sector for the last 10 years. She has extended experience working with clients across the lifespan however she is passionate working with young adolescent and adults. She has provided services using different therapy models including the multidisciplinary and transdisciplinary models and individual therapy. Within those years, she has also developed experience providing training to staff and careers and have supported clients to participate to their everyday activities by working in a holistic and person-centered manner.

Ami Kwong

Ami Kwong is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with a strong interest in dysphagia and communication disorders. Before joining Kinela, she spent 4 years working with the Hospital Authority Hong Kong, across two hospitals, Tung Wah Hospital and Duchess of Kent Children’s Hospital. During this time, Ami provided communication and swallowing assessment and intervention for patients with stroke, post- brain surgery and other neurological disorders.

She has a particular interest in neurodegenerative conditions as well as acquired neurological conditions.

Isabelle Mitchell

Isabelle is a registered Occupational Therapist with a Masters in Occupational Therapy from the University of Canberra. She has spent the past few years working within a hospital rehabilitation setting and now for Kinela. Her current areas of expertise are orthopedic, brain injury/ stroke, and general neurological. Isabelle is  currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management with the goal of assisting NDIS participants to manage their diabetes more independently.
